Do you settle where your life is concerned? Are you willing to explore if you’re living your best life? The world shows us an image a second on social media that pushes the concept that your best life is bigger, newer and store bought. But is that really it?
God tells us He is our great I Am. “I am your provider, your counselor, your creator, your forgiver, your renewer, your guide…” In other words, He is able, and He continually asks us to have faith in His plan for our good.
Does that leave room for us to believe God wants us to have less than our best life? The commandments and verses of instruction in the Bible are about boundaries and practices that bring us peace, that bring us joy.
As you worship and rest today, planning for the week (and the new year) have you taken time to consider what your “best life” might look like? How would you dress, how would you live? What would you do? How would you eat? Who would you hang out with? Where would you travel? What would your purpose or mission be? Why would you love your life?
Sometimes we need time out of the deserts of life to dream again, to set the visions of the life you desire to live. We need to remember that God has a best life plan for us.
Are you willing to give up a “good enough” “I can do this on my own” mindset for envisioning your best life that God has for you?
